大友真志｜Masashi Otomo
写真家。1978年、北海道北広島市生まれ。1999年、専門学校東京ビジュアルアーツ写真学科卒業。2004年よりphotographers’ galleryに参加。北海道開拓の記録で知られる写真師・田本研造を特集した『photographers’ gallery press no. 8』（2009年）の編集責任を務めたほか、多くの活動に携わる。2010年には、連続写真展《Mourai》を1年間にわたり開催するなど、個展・グループ展多数。おもに北海道各地の風景と、北広島に住む家族のポートレートを制作・発表する傍ら、サハリンや大東島などでも撮影している。

Photographer. Born in Hokkaido in 1978. Graduated from Tokyo Visual Arts College in 1999. Participates in the photographers’ gallery in Tokyo since 2004. He maily takes family portraits and landscapes of Hokkaido. In 2009 he served as the editor-in-chief of photographers’ gallery press no. 8, which featured the work of the photographer Kenzo Tamoto who is known for recording Hokkaido Land Development at the end of the 19th century. His solo shows include “Mourai” (a yearlong exhibition in 13 installments at the photographers’ gallery and Ikazuchi, Tokyo, 2010).
