台北再会

《台北再会》は、故郷である台北をあらためて感じ取り、探っていくための旅の記録である。撮影は2015年の春から夏にかけて行われた。当時、私は大阪に留学しており、休暇を利用して春と夏の二度にわたって台湾へ戻り、合計およそ二ヶ月のあいだ、ほぼ毎日カメラを持って街を歩いた。直感と感覚に導かれるまま、そのとき出会った人や出来事を撮影し、計157本のフィルムを撮影した。

海外での生活に慣れていた私にとって、台北はどこか懐かしく、同時に少しよそよそしい場所として立ち現れ、強く感覚を刺激する存在だった。蒸し暑い気候、午後に突然降り出す雷雨、新旧が入り混じる街並みや建築、飽和した色彩、むき出しの音や匂い・・・・。 街のあらゆるものが、無防備なまま身体に押し寄せてくる。

私はその反応に身を委ね、直感のままシャッターを切り、あのときの台北と自分自身を記録していった。

林 軒朗　リン シュエンラン

1987年、台北生まれ。大阪ビジュアルアーツ専門学校 写真学科卒業。現在は雑誌や舞台、イベント撮影を中心にフリーランスとして活動。
2016年、作品《台北再會》が清里フォトアートミュージアムの「Young Portfolio」に収蔵される。2025年、「Photo One Portfolio Review」にて展覧特別賞を受賞。
ストリートスナップを通じ、異郷感と帰属意識、そして人々の感情の結びつきをテーマに制作を続けている。鮮やかな色彩に満ちた街の風景の中に、静寂と内面的な感覚を織り交ぜながら、台湾の日常風景を独自の視点で捉えている。

Taipei No Goodbye

Taipei No Goodbye is a journey of rediscovery, an attempt to reconnect with and re-experience my hometown, Taipei. The photographs were taken in the spring and summer of 2015, during a time when I was moving between Osaka, Japan and Taipei, Taiwan.
I spent nearly two months walking the streets almost every day with a camera in hand. Driven by embodied instinct, I photographed fleeting encounters, sensations, and moments as they unfolded, eventually completing 157 rolls of film.
After adapting to a life away from home, I experienced Taipei as intimate and alien at once.The humid air, sudden afternoon downpours, layered streets and architecture, saturated colors, and the raw presence of sound and smell filled the city with intensity. Everything revealed itself with raw immediacy, open and unguarded.
I surrendered to instinct, reacting through the shutter, capturing the time of Taipei and the ripples it stirred within me.

Lin Hsuan-Lang

Born in Taipei in 1987, Lin Hsuan Lang graduated from the Department of Photography at Visual Arts
Osaka, Japan. He is currently a freelance photographer specializing in magazine, stage and live
performance photography, and event photography.
In 2016, his series Taipei No Goodbye was permanently collected by the Kiyosato Museum of
Photographic Arts. In 2025, he was honored with the The Special Exhibition Award for the same series.
Since returning to his homeland from Japan, Lin has continued to explore Taiwan through the lens
of street photography, navigating the tensions between estrangement and belonging, and the
intricate emotional ties embedded within them. His keen observation of urban scenes reveals Taiwanese
landscapes that, while vibrant in color, carry a quiet and introspective atmosphere beneath the surface.
